The weight of double-faced wool
What 740gsm means at the shoulder, and why we rejected three mills before settling on Biella.
AUTUMN — WINTER COLLECTION
Fewer pieces, made carefully. Wool woven in Biella. Knits run in Hawick. Leather tanned in Tuscany. Nothing in a hurry.

MAKERS' NOTES
The heaviest wool we use is 740 grams per metre. It is warmer than the hand expects, and it refuses to crease the way cheaper fabric does. We do not add lining where none is needed. We do not stitch a logo where a button will do.
Read the atelier notes →"I bought the trench three years ago and it is the only coat I reach for. It has taken on a patina. It is better now than the day it arrived."
